The Women’s March was the largest protest in Washington DC, in The Unites States, and in the history of the world. It’s estimated that conservatively there were over 5,000,000 protesters worldwide. Bright murals by uninvited artists color painted brick walls in Palermo Soho. Mismatched shops of handcrafted items reach towards streets with names such as “Queens,” “El Salvador” and “Hollywood.” Color oozes through the cracks in the cement and yarn wrapped trees, but their black and white faces hold my consciousness.
