Bright murals by uninvited artists color painted brick walls in Palermo Soho.  Mismatched shops of handcrafted items reach towards streets with names such as “Queens,” “El Salvador” and “Hollywood.”  Color oozes through the cracks in the cement and yarn wrapped trees, but their black and white faces hold my consciousness.
